History

The 1 By 1 Leadership Foundation emerged in 2006 from an idea that was sparked back in the 1960s in the city of Pittsburgh, PA.  This ignited a holy fire as the idea to engage local leaders of good faith and goodwill to develop joint initiatives to address the city’s most pressing societal issues began to spread. What started out in Pittsburgh so many decades ago has now touched communities, towns and cities all over the world, including our very own city of Immokalee, a migrant town located in SW Florida.

Vision
